Too big. so troublesome to refresh because everytime you pull down it activates the camera instead of refreshing. Main prob is it's too big. RAM consumption is just too big. And i think it drains battery faster.. and too make matters worse, combine this app with the main facebook app.... Voila, they will take occupy 1/4 of your RAM. Very nice. -_-

It was a really good app until this last updated. It keeps clouding down, failing to load, can't scroll down cause it takes itself back up again... disaster!!! And i hate that you just cant send a msg thru the Facebook app. That is total bs.

I am now getting double notifications from messenger and Internet messenger every time someone messages me to which I am 'invited to join' the Internet version every time I receive a message which I do but it doesn't seem to remember me. And why do I need double notifications? I then find I have messages going back to last May I never knew about via the Internet version. What was wrong with the FB messenger? (Samsung Android user)

Although inactive is selected you still appear active to other users... Refresh feature turns on camera... App is unnecessarily large due to multitude of unappealing additional features constantly need to delete content to update.

Why are your keep on pushing updates to this application. In fact showing messages and call in one place is not a cool idea. Ive turned off that feature. The old style looks very nice and easy to you, this new one is not really great and we cannot refresh the chat page. And it takes way longer to install or update this application even Facebook application too please fix that first.

Hi, I am a regular Facebook User. I am sure you don't get Enough Emails about this subject but it needs to be looked at honestly. I loved Facebook ever since it came out, The Games, the People, Things we get to see and talk about. The one thing I really do dislike and I'm not the only one who thinks so. Is the Facebook Messager Application. It isn't useful at all, and it takes up space on our phones. It always Asks us for Updates and Permission. Also If we dont Download it we cant Read our messages. I hate, hate, hate that we are forced to use this app when the messenger service in Facebook was more than adequate for my messaging needs. Now we're being forced to install and run a seperate app for something so simple... Lame but unfortunately, necessary.
I can't get enough of it honestly. BUT . . . I WAS GIVEN info from my provider that messenger was totally private, as in convo's r not seen but by the two parties involved. Well sadly aheart heartbreaking family medical secret got shown to the world causing a lot of pain. That's honestly my one major disappointment. Thank you!
The size of the application is too big had to uninstall some apps before installing it. I'm also not able to my online friends only loading, there is also issue with the calling feature it's not connecting.
Terrible. Just garbage. Spyware. Who else can see the pictures I send? Who else can see my address? But with 1 BILLION downloads this company has nothing to worry about. Scary
It shows that I am online or my Messenger is active...even if m nt on it or using it.... Same happens with my friends... I msg them wen i see them active but they say tht they were nt on Messenger... Creates a lot of confusion... Please look into it.....
If you hate the new upgrade to Facebook and Messenger join everyone on Google Hangouts 😁Somehow messenger downloads google drive which is a nightmare.dont add a program to my computer without my permission especially if it going to call people, and use my phone with out my permission. Could not make calls between android- windowsphone devices :/ Please remove "my day" and fix camera function. It is always shaky and blurry... useless :/
App always crashes, won't boot up. And if it does boot up I am asked 3 questions every time before I can get to the app. I don't want to see texts, don't want to share my number, and am getting really annoyed by the questions.

What you have done today has messed up my phone. Every time I am talking to friend on messenger if someone else pops up ding ding and their photo pops up. Also each time one of us nakes a comment it dings again. Very annoying indeed. Leave things as they were!
Horrible app and update. I can no longer use chat or messenger as it appears I am suddenly blocked. Always says chat or messenger is unavailable
It has too many useless things and facebook just keeps adding them. The chat heads are randomly disappearing like there's a short lag and after that lag chat heads are gone and I have to go to the app and turn them back on. It's really annoying sometimes. My device is Huawei P8 on android 6.0
Horrible app. Just a waste of time going between the actual app and this messaging app. It never hides the other sections and is just poor execution on this app
I hate this app coz I HAVE to install it in order to just read occasional messages on FB on my smartphone and it takes just too much of my phone memory. Dear FB people, please make a simple way to read messages without a must to install this app.
The reason for one star is because the new updates for Facebook and messenger caused problems for my phone that I took to a Verizon Corporate Store to be fixed and told to remove from the phone bother messenger and Facebook until a fix is available the worker at the store showed me the memo I uninstalled the app and update and. Great, useful app. Everyone uses it. I liked the old theme better, no one uses that camera feature you put there, either make that camera feature like snapchat or get rid of it. Also, I know this won't work for iOS but you should mix messenger & sms, just like imessage. It would be awesome if you could do that. Also, the iOS messenger theme us so much better then the android theme. Make the android app have the same option as iOS or give us options for different themes
You really messed up with this update. Now I do not receive messages and the person I chat to cannot send messages. More over, my messages always get on the lower side and the other person's get in the upper side all messages. Fix this ASAP!!!

Update takes long time on old phones. And new design is really bad, i like old design. Because i think new one is stealing snapchat stories feature.
I don't always get the notification of a new message right away. I would sometimes have to open the app or even just let my phone rest a bit. But otherwise the app is pretty good. I'm glad you can put it in your SD card.
I personally get mad at ppl nowadays who dont have this app. Messenger is so stupid fkin dumb sweet ("stupid" & "dumb" being used as defined by rapper Gucci Mane, meaning "awesome" and "insanely great" respectively. Depending on context the literal translation may be subject to shift slightly, but the end result will always define as a word like "amazingly easy" or "ridiculously bad@ss" - example: "I got a new gf, she is smokin hot bro. Then I just won $77 on a scratchoff ticket! My life is fkin *stupid dumb sweet* right now."
New update wont let me scroll down my history. Give error message "something went wrong please try again". Do you even test things anymore??
Can't log out. .so calls and messages keep coming all the time. Annoying
The camera doesn't work on Messenger for most recent version on my phone. It just shows a black camera screen then crashes. So I can't take pictures or videos now...
It force closes all the time when I'm in the middle of writing messages; doesn't matter whether I have other applications open or not. Takes up too much space, and uses a lot of data.
About an hour ago some 3d masks appeared in my messenger video calls, top right. Now the masks icon dissapeared . Anybody faced this problem ??
the new update version isn't well because of camera..it's can't do refreshed.. it's too bad & that's why I don't like this update version.
Overall an amazing up. However, the gesture to scroll down from the home screen that enables the camera is such a terrible idea. Please at least give the user the option to deactivate this gesture.

I cannot see my "my day" and i keep on updated it but its not working 😒 but my fb friends can see it what i post at my day but me my self cannot see it. i dont like the new version.
Why it takes minimum half an hour for update. AnD gives 3updates a week. There is no matter in update I give 2stars for this reason
Overall I like the app just fine, however I find it annoying how the messager calling feature keeps ringing until someone picks up or until someone hangs up, and it vibrates when you put your phone on silent.
