Course Tutor Guide updated-Unit DG4H 33 Mathematics for Engineering 1: Electronics and Electrical has been replaced by H7K0 33 Engineering Mathematics 1 and will finish 31/07/2016. Unit DG4L 33 Mathematics for Engineering 2 has been replaced by H7K1 33 Engineering Mathematics 2 and will finish 31/07/2016. Centres must plan to switch over from DG4H 33 and DG4L 34 to H7K0 33 and H7K1 34. Candidates currently entered for DG4H 33 and DG4L 34 must complete the Units before the finish date. Please note that candidates can no longer be entered for DG4H 33 and DG4L 34 after the finish date.

From August 2015 all students entering HND year 1 must achieve the additional Unit “Workplace Communication in English (H8T2 33), which will prepare them for the higher level Unit “Communication: Business Communication (H7TK 34)”. Course Tutor Guide updated-The Unit 'International Marketing: An Introduction'  DG6M 34 has been revised and replaced by the new Unit 'International Marketing: An Introduction' H8PD 34.  Currently, centres may continue to enter learners for the Unit 'International Marketing: An Introduction'  DG6M 34, however all learners must have completed and also submitted results for this Unit by no later than 31/7/17.

However, centres are encouraged to move over to the new Unit  'International Marketing: An Introduction' H8PD 34 as soon as possible and all new entries after 31/7/17 must be for this new Unit.

It has been amended in line with the introduction of the new Consumer Rights Act 2015 which came into effect in Scotland in October 2015. The amendments made are relatively minor and therefore, do not warrant a change of Unit code or title.

It is anticipated that the introduction of the new Act could facilitate a smoother delivery of the Unit due to some of the existing legislation being incorporated into the one as well as the inclusion of some new areas not previously covered such as Digital content.
