One or more sailings are disrupted
Service updates
Tuesday 6th June
Due to forecast Northwest winds gusting between 22 and 33 knots and the possible unavailability of the North berth in Port Ellen, the following MV Hebridean Isles sailings will be diverted to and from Port Askaig instead:
10:00 Kennacraig to Port Ellen. (Now Kennacraig to Port Askaig.)
12:45 Port Ellen to Kennacraig. (Now Port Askaig to Kennacraig.)
All other scheduled MV Hebridean Isles sailings will be liable to disruption due to forecast high winds and adverse weather.
As well, due to the possible unavailability of the berth at Port Ellen, the 07:00 MV Finlaggan service to Port Ellen may also need to divert to Port Askaig.
We will confirm if this is the case once more information becomes available.

As advised on our timetable literature there will be an amended timetable in place due to the anticipated high numbers of foot passengers using the service to attend the Islay Beach Rugby competition on Saturday 10 June.
All sailings on Friday 09 June will operate to and from Port Ellen. This will also mean that the 0700 sailing from Islay on Saturday 10 June will now also depart from Port Ellen, thereafter sailings on Saturday are as timetabled.
Monday 19th June to Friday 23rd of June
BEAR Scotland, working on behalf of Transport Scotland, are proposing to carry out essential resurfacing works on the A83 North of Kennacraig.
The programmed start date for the work is Monday 19th June 2017. Due to restricted road widths works will be carried out under a convoy traffic management system, between 7am and 7pm each day.
