Hawick is known for its world famous Common Riding, and for rugby. Hawick is also known as the Home of Cashmere, with excellent cashmere & woollen shops, stocked with locally produced goods. You can explore the history of the textile industry at the Border Textile Towerhouse museum which is across the road from the iCentre. Next door is the Heritage Hub: a state of the art Local Archive and Family History centre. The iCentre stocks a wide range of local gifts and maps and operates the box office for the town’s cinema and theatre. We can also provide information, accommodation bookings, Historic Scotland Passes and Hawick Balls.
