WPML is the worst plugin for WordPress. It works, but it is tedious and brings bugs with every update. WordPress need to add its own native multilingual support. In a global world, it has no sense that it is monolingual.

@retroriff Yes, WPML isn't a perfect solution and for the large commercial product its quality is smth I would be ashamed of. However, if you use only the core plugin - Multilingual CMS - without any add-ons for string translations etc it's pretty fast and comfortable to work with. But there's a lot of room for improvement.
That sound like a great idea. I dont like WPML and its not free.
I agree, WPML seems to get messed up on updates and is a pain in the rear. Everything these days needs to have multi-language support, I think we'll see a better plugin before we see this implemented into WP.
If you de-activate the WPML Plugin or have issues with functionality related to version updates, you get a WordPress site with multilingual confusion.
Looks great :)
Multilingual support sound like a great idea.
I had always problems with language plugins such as WPML...
Good idea. Currently i am not really needing this because i don“t build too big sites, but there is a lot that can be improved concerning wordpress.
WordPress is a global platform, so being able to have multilingual functionality out of the box would be really good. No longer are sites getting traffic from one region, people from all over the world are now able to access your site.
This would be a great feature indeed, yes. Is there any status on it? Posted to WordPress core trac ?!
