I started my blog http://nebenjob-netz.de/ and i want to create a seperately blog page only with news. I think that should be an standard at wordpress. I try to use some plugins, but id doesnt´t work. So I given up this idea.

Why not carry the editor over into the Widgets? I can't believe this isn't already a thing, actually.

(I just started really using WP and noticed that as a client mentioned that there was weird "text" in one of their widgets. The weird text was a hyperlink I hardcoded in at some point but I didn't really pay attention, I just thought I was in the HTML view of the editor or something.)

I also can't believe that this idea hasn't been proposed before but I can't seem to find it with my search terms.

We were thinking about a widget that allows to translate single pages or the whole website.

i.e. we launched a digital plattform for carsharing with supercars in Germany (http://drivar.de) based on Wordpress. As we list every single car as a seperate landing page, this is quite a lot of content meanwhile.
If we´re now starting to expand in other countries (and still don´t have budget for developing our own CMS) it would be very helpful to copy single pages automatically into other languages.

What do you think?

The functional difference between a plugin and having the code in core, as regards to making your site 'heavy' is nonexistent. It's the same net effect.

I have many sites with custom sidebars and this feature would be most welcome. I don't like to have my sites be plugin heavy but I guess I will have to add yet another
