Why it’s in the Showcase: DC Diaper Bank was a contestant in this year’s CreateathonDC. The purpose of this event was to give three local nonprofits a new web presence in 72 hours. That means that this site was designed and developed in a span of 72 hours. The DC Diaper Bank website represents all that is possible with WordPress. The homepage uses a Nivo slider to help visually push out the message while also bringing in a Google maps feature that allows mothers to find diaper distribution sites. There is a counter that is actively changing and represents the number of diapers donated on a regular basis.
