Why it’s in the Showcase: With a focus on education for lawyers, the site uses the blogging features of WordPress MU along with the social features of BuddyPress in interesting ways. There are more than 40 virtual classrooms – each ‘classroom’ is a WordPress blog with a custom theme enhanced with multimedia plugins. And there is a study group, via BuddyPress, for each classroom where faculty and students can communicate with one another in a variety of ways. Students receive automatic email notification when a new lesson is posted for any course in which they are a member of the corresponding study group.
