We have a lot of clients that would love this feature. It would also be great if we could use a function to set where a custom post type defaults to for its media uploads.

I think this thing has to be done. I also believe that adding this functionality wouldn't add confusion because if you don't want folders, you don't have to create new ones.

I agree with Marco, especially because the plugin is not free.

You should not have to buy a premium plugin for this. Don't get me wrong but this functionality should be in a CMS by default.. When I insert media into posts I have to browse trough 3500 images to find my image! This is just.. Absurd! We really need folder based image sorting in the Media Library, without using plugins!

Hi,

This is mean , it's difficult t o classified files in Wordpress media manager. This plugin wp media manager can do it and much more. You can create folder and order your images and file easely.
