I’ve been able to use this in order to come up with an iOS template written in Swift that turns any WordPress blog into a native mobile app (http://iosapptemplates.com/templates/wordpress-ios-app-template). This plugin was very useful for such a thing since it exposes the API endpoints needed by mobile clients.

Using this along with the ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) plugin gives you total power. There’s no need to write a single line of code on the WordPress site, if all you need is to expose data to clients, in JSON format.
