Hi, could you please update the Slide Anything plugin to version 2.0.1, which I have just added to WordPress.org. This new version will hopefully solve your problem.
I updated to 2.0.1 but unfortunately the problem is still there: the carousel is not present. The only visible thing is a grey line… tested on chrome, safari and firefox, for mac and mobile.
Hi, its the JavaScript errors that are causing the issues.
Could you possibly test using another theme? Switch to another theme (e.g. the WordPress 2016 theme, have a look, and then switch back to MusicMaker theme.
FYI – I’ve been corresponding with someone else having a similar issue. They are also using the MusicMaker theme. So there seems to be a clash between this theme and Slide Anything.
It’s very strange. Yesterday the plugin was working perfectly. Why with the update it stopped working?
What version of MusicMaker theme are you using?
See this post:
http://help.musicmakertheme.com/music-maker-theme-2-16-release/
Which says…
“Updated JQuery – The theme previously loaded a version of JQuery that wouldn’t work with some WordPress plugins. This update should help the Music Maker theme work better with other plugins. There are no guarantees though. Please make sure you test out your site to make sure everyone works like it did before the update.”
Hi again,
I’m using the 2.17 version, so JQuery problems should be solved.
Now, I downloaded the previous version of your plugin. I thought of a solution.
If I unistall the actual version (2.0.3) and install the old working version, there’s a way to restore the carousel?
Go to this link:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/slide-anything/advanced/
Scroll down to previous versions, and download version 1.6
Ok, if I uninstall the plugin and after I install the 1.6,
should I see again the slider or I’ve to create it again?
Uninstalling does not delete the Slider Data.
So providing 1.6 worked on your site before, it should work again.
Ok perfect! now it works again! Thanks a lot!
Ok – am glad to hear that you are sorted out 😉
A pity the MusicMaker theme is not a free one, otherwise I could install it, dig around and hopefully find out why this theme has a issue with SA.
As I said previously, someone else with the MusicMaker theme is also having issues with SA.
