New Traffic Scotland Mobile Site

New Traffic Scotland Mobile Site (my.trafficscotland.org)

The way that we communicate is changing rapidly and the new Traffic Scotland mobile site recognises this and greatly enhances travel information for the public.

Transport Scotland has launched a new mobile website through the Traffic Scotland Information Service.   The old site has been replaced with a new and improved site (https://my.trafficscotland.org/) making it easier for users to find the information they require to plan their journey.

The new site will see a move to a map based service, with a focus on providing relevant and vital information for road users.  It is tailored to user needs regardless of the mobile device used.

The new service includes the following features:

  • New user friendly look and feel;
  • Traffic Scotland cameras at your fingertips;
  • Trunk and local road congestion information;
  • Traffic and travel bulletins from Traffic Scotland Radio;
  • Easy access to updates via Traffic Scotland Twitter.
  • Geo-location (if enabled on device);
  • Quicker access to relevant and vital information;
  • The ability to create your own routes, instantly identify current issues and so better plan your journey.

The new site makes it easier for users to establish current road network conditions and to quickly identify alternative options on route choice or travel mode. This allows travellers to plan their journeys effectively by enabling them to make informed decisions based on the most accurate and relevant information.

The mobile service is expected to support efficient management of demand on the strategic road network and continues to support modal shift by making it easier for road users to find what they need to know, when they need to know it.

This initial release of the new Traffic Scotland Mobile Service is just the start of our plans to deliver a much enhanced information service.  Visit the Traffic Scotland website regularly for news on the introduction of further new features.
