My Traffic Scotland Service
As part of the continuous development of Traffic Scotland we are further developing My Traffic Scotland to deliver a
personalised service providing you with traffic, travel and journey planning information relevant to you and your journeys. The
intention is to increasingly allow users to design their own content tailored to their individual needs. This will allow users
to access the My Traffic Scotland service by registering for an account or by simply logging in using an existing account with one
of supported social media options.
-
My Routes
Create and save your own journeys across Scotland and view traffic and travel information specific to those routes.
-
Journey Alerts
Receive personalised email alerts for your routes when they are affected by incidents, delays or other events.
-
Bookmarks
Gain access to the enhanced Traffic Scotland Bookmarks service that allows you to access your bookmarks across different devices.
When completed over the next few years the full My Traffic Scotland service will allow you to:
-
Use our map based routing interface to create and save your own specific routes between two chosen locations, including
the ability to set optional via locations. For example, if you make a regular commute, you will be able to save the route
you travel as a regular journey of interest for present and future journey planning. Each time you log in you will be
able to access traffic and travel information specific to each of your saved routes and view this information on our map
interface. This will include details of incidents, roadworks and events affecting your selected routes, current
journey times and delay (where available), as well as traffic camera images, weather alerts and other information
for the defined route.
-
Set up email alerts for your saved routes; which will notify you when they are affected by incidents, delays or other events
and assist when planning your journey. These can be managed by using a "My Routes tool".
-
Access bookmarked content no matter when or how you log in, be it on a desktop computer, laptop, or mobile device. You can
also import any existing bookmarks from cookie files stored on your current device to your Traffic Scotland account.
It is planned that the My Traffic Scotland service will be rolled out progressively during 2017.
