Live Traffic Cameras Help
Cameras in the list view page are organised into 5 regions:
- Highlands and Western Isles
- Grampian
- Central, Tayside and Fife
- Strathclyde
- SW Scotland, Lothian and Borders
Click on a camera location name to open the corresponding camera image in a new window.
Please note that it is now possible to open multiple images at the same time through clicking on the individual names. The
cameras open by default in the same position on the screen so, in order to view multiple images at the same time, you will
need to reposition the windows within the limits of your browser window.
If predefined routes are available, the cameras for these can be viewed by clicking on the
related link in the left menu bar under the title 'Live Traffic Camera by Route'.
Using the interactive map
Moving your mouse pointer over the icons on the map will display traffic information.
Traffic information is also available as a table and can be displayed by clicking the desired
information in the List View box.
Details of the types of information available on the map
is available here.
Finding more information
To view more about an item on the map, click on its icon to be taken to a page of
further information.
Incidents in close proximity
When several incidents have accrued in close proximity, the icons on the map overlap.
Overlapping icons example
Moving your mouse pointer over these icons will bring up a list of icons for that area which you can then
move along to see the details specific to each one.
Icons can be clicked for further information as normal.
