Green infrastructure
Published:

Guidance on incorporating green infrastructure into planning and building work, with specific relevance for planners, landscape architects, developers and house builders.
The guidance is split into two parts:
- part one explains what green infrastructure is, when it applies to planning and building work and the advantage of integrating green infrastructure into designs
- part two shows how green infrastructure can contribute to each of the six qualities of successful places identified in the Scottish Planning Policy
The issues we highlight in this guidance apply to masterplans, large scale frameworks and site briefs down to designs for individual purposes.
