Half on-road, half off: the half marathon and 10k on Lewis

The second half of the Stornoway half marathon is off road, heading through the wooded grounds of Lews Castle. It's an excellent way to get a feel for the island, and if you don't fancy getting the ferry back to the mainland in the afternoon, you can stay over for a ceilidh with your fellow runners on the Saturday evening.
