Tentel are currently the only broadband and telephony supplier in the country to offer a non contract service, meaning customers can sign up on a month by month basis. Services offered by Tentel include superfast optic fibre, broadband and telephone. By focusing on the private rental accommodation sector the company hope to be able to compete with the likes of BT, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin.

Scottish Enterprise has assisted Tentel with their desire to build and train a workforce capable of delivering high standards of customer service.  The company aim to attract and retain the most talented employees and encourage a one team culture with no hierarchical structure.

Most recently, Tentel has been successful in its application for a Regional Selective Assistance (RSA) grant from Scottish Enterprise. RSA is a discretionary grant available for companies looking to create or safeguard jobs in Scotland. The eligibility criteria for RSA is strict and the amount available is dependent on the size of the company, the location of the project and upon an assessment of how much funding is required to enable the project.

Transformational funding

We have been very well supported by Scottish Enterprise and the RSA funding is extremely important to our future.  We are absolutely customer focused and it is critical that we are able to build a strong and well-trained team able to deliver the highest standards of customer service.  This funding will be transformational to the pace at which we can grow our team and continue to serve our customers.

The funding will generate exponential growth by accelerating access into its market and securing market share. Its progressive approach to creating team culture in the company is inspirational and makes TenTel a highly attractive place to work.”.

The managing director of Tentel, Robert McKechnie, believes that securing the RSA grant has enabled the company to pursue its growth ambitions more quickly.
