Changes to RSA funding
From 2014 there will be limitations on the businesses that are eligible to apply for Regional Selective Assistance (RSA)
Providing around £31 million per year to Scottish businesses, RSA provides grants for projects involving investment and the creation or safeguarding of jobs. The funding has helped hundreds of companies across Scotland expand their operations, create new jobs and move into new markets.
From next year, the rules around who can apply for RSA funding will change and there will be restrictions for businesses with 250 or more employees unless the investment is at a new location or represents a diversification of activity.

How RSA helped BrewDog's expansion
One business that has benefited from RSA funding is Scottish craft beer company BrewDog. Having launched in 2007 and with the support of RSA funding, the company has been able to grow to a team of more than 200 staff open up five new export markets and double the size of their business in 2013.
BrewDog now exports its beer to 38 markets across the world and has invested in specialist equipment to produce its growing and diverse range of beers.
Remember to apply before 28 February to ensure you don’t miss out.
