Eating near Balmoral

Going to Balmoral Castle on a Sunday. Is there a good place to have lunch in the area?

There is a Restaurant on Balmoral Estate but Ballater is 8 miles from Balmoral and theres several places to eat. For a special lunch the Rothesay Rooms have a nice menu also Glenlui Hotel and The Alexandra Hotel. For a snack or light lunch theres the Bothy, The Brown Sugar and Rock Salt and Snails.6 -

Hi @cpetrusek, In my opinion, I would stay well away from the tearoom if I were you. Even though this is a Royal Palace and that Balmoral is one of the most busiest castles in Scotland as far as tourists are concerned, the tearoom, in my opinion, has to be one of the worst. I agree with @VisitScotlandPatricia go to Ballater for something to eat. The Clubhouse on the golf course is also great for food.
