Silver-plated items should not be washed with stainless steel. If they touch when wet then the silver may become damaged by a chemical reaction.
Although silver-plated items are resistant to corrosion, they do become tarnished from sulphides in the atmosphere. To clean tarnished silver, use silver dip or a silver polish, carefully following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Never place silver-plated items in the dishwasher. This can seriously damage them.
