MTB ON THE HIGHLANDS ON END MAY EARLY JUNE AND MIDGES..

We will be doing the Cairgnorms loop , on a 4 day MTB trip and I am concerned about those little monsters....
Should be the end of may early June, early midge seasson how do we know ?....say in 4 weeks !
I read that if we keep moving on the bike should be fine....., any special advice ?

    @URI, you heard some good advice, "keep moving" otherwise plaster yourself in "Avon Skin so soft" or carry a can of "Smidge" with you. Don't forget the face mask with a net on it!

    This sounds like a risky time but have Avon , Smidge & net....will get also the Dtt stuff...
