First time in Scotland...What are the must things to do and see if starting in Glasgow and then driving to Edinburg in only two days before heading to St.Andrews? What would be the best itenerary and route to take?

You could make the most of being on the west coast by doing some of the trips on the itinerary at https://www.visitscotland.com/see-do/tours/driving-road-trips/7-days-west-scotland/
You could see a lot in 2 days just taking in Loch Lomond & the Trossachs and Glencoe.

If you fancy taking the ferry to one of the isles off the west coast, you could drive to Oban (or to Ardrossan for the ferry to Arran). It would need a bit of forward planning to check ferry times and book.
