Mailing large packages

I am getting married at the end of April near Balquhidder.  We plan to spend two weeks honeymooning in Scotland.  I don't want to carry around my gigantic ballgown of a wedding dress or the wellies I plan to wear underneath it.  Instead, I would like to mail the dress and boots back to the United States in a large box after the wedding.  Any thoughts on the best way to do this (better carriers, preferred locations, other postal tips)?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have shipped many packages the other way (from the US to the UK) when I moved to Scotland and use DHL Express. It was super efficient but can get incredibly expensive (I used my company discount to good effect). That is the only advice I can trust. Nearest drop off would be in Stirling though.

Another consideration would be storage / cloak room for 2 weeks but I have no idea how to go about doing that.
