Looking for Smiddy Banks, Deerness

Hello community, I am an Aussie visiting Scotland in April and would love to visit the home of my grandfather, who immigrated to Australia in the 1920's.  I have found his drivers licence from 1922 when he was 22 and he states his address as Smiddy Banks, Deerness, Orkney , Scotland. I have tried google maps and other sites but can only find a Smiddy Banks farm near St Margaret's Hope.
Can anyone help? I don't know if this is/was a road, farm, region or pub! And perhaps this place no longer exists but any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks, helen

Google Maps is correct, St. Margaret Hope is on Orkney (which is an archipelago of 70 islands) on the mainland and the street view also suggests that Smiddy Banks is a cottage not too far from where the Pentland ferries pier is. Open this link on desktop and click on the street view (the image with half a circle on the bottom left of the screen) to see the cottage on the left side of the road.

Tagging @spoots as the native Orcadian on this forum to correct me if I'm wrong and to fill you in on any details. I strongly suggest posting your question on the Facebook group Orkney Past & Present, I have seen so many relatives / ancestral family connect over similar questions.
