Scottish Girdle ????

Hi there, am going to be in Scotland later this year and was wondering where I might be able to purchase a Girdle, am going to be in Edinburgh and the Isle of Skye and there about, if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks :)

    Modern flat girdle pans are available from Lakeland and John Lewis (there are branches in Edinburgh) and probably from other cookshops. If you want a traditional one you could try antique shops. There is the Scottish antiques centre at Doune just off the A9 north of Stirling which might be on your route to Skye. Best of luck and happy baking. Make sure you have plenty of baggage allowance as a good cast iron girdle will weigh a ton!

    Thanks for this,  I am after a traditional one like my mum had as hers went to an older sibling, I remember hers being very heavy so will pack lightly , so antique centres here I come  :) :)
