Cornhill Highland Games in June 2018

My husband and I are planning to attend the Cornhill Highland Games in June. It is our first time travelling to Scotland and also to watch Highland Games. Any tips for people who are going to the Cornhill Highland Games for the first time? Should we be prepared for midges? Are there public restrooms? Is it safe to leave our luggage in the car? Any suggestions/tips are most welcome
