Best transport options? Glasgow>Oban>Skye>Inverness>Stirling
Hello -- I'm planning my honeymoon for August and have booked lodging in Glasgow, Oban, Skye, Inverness and near Stirling (Port of Menteith). I know there are some good train and bus routes, and I also know that certain locations (especially Skye) will require renting a car.
Would love some advice on the best transport options for getting from between these places and generally around Western Scotland.
Thanks

For travel around Scotland by public transport, @spoots has created a comprehensive list of all options available that connect all the spots you're interested in. My personal recommendation would be Glasgow - Oban by train, Oban - Skye by buses (you'll have to leave early), Skye - Inverness by bus to Kyle followed by the Kyle line train and Inverness to Stirling by train. The attached thread links to the travel operator websites.
