For NSS enquiries, please fill in our form. Please note that NSS does not treat patients. Patients should consult NHS Inform. If your complaint is about your GP or treatment you have received in an NHS hospital please contact your NHS Board (external link).

Data Protection
NSS does not hold patient health records. However, like all NHSScotland bodies, we gather and use personal information to provide more effective health services.
Our Data Protection Notice explains what personal information we use, what our legal basis is for using it and how we protect it. It also explains what your rights are under data protection law and how you can ask to see your information.
Freedom of Information
You have the right to request information from any publicly-funded body, including NSS.
FOI requests are not about your personal information, for example your medical records. See above for data protection information regarding that information.
