Accomodation in March / April

Hi all... We are coming over in March / April next year..... We are wondering if we will need to book accomodation ahead, or as its the end of winter, could we wing it..... we are thinking a mix of BnB and Hotel or pub accomodation.... We will be self driving and dont really want to be on a time frame.... Also will it be better to have a 4wd at this time... Thanks

    Comfortably wing it, outside of the very best B&Bs I don't see why finding accommodation could be a problem

    Hi @lushnpops, You should be alright to wing it but be aware that quite a few B&Bs don't take spontaneous people anymore. As far as the car hire is concerned, you don't really need a 4 x 4! Hope you have a good time.

    Hello,
    My wife and I visited Scotland this past April. 
    We stayed at a cottage on a farm in Stirling with views to both Wallace monument and the castle.
    We have visited Scotland a few times before and Stirling is an ideal location between the highlands, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
    Search for Riverbend cottage.

    @Pjt ..... Thanks for that, we will look... Can you remember if the accommodation was needed to be booked in advance
