Week after Christmas in Speyside
31 year old guy here... I'm going to be in Scotland with my girlfriend 26 December - 1 January. We were planning on spending our first night in Glasgow, last three nights in Edinburgh, and nights two and three in Grantown-On-Spey and Pitlochy respectively.. mainly to do activities at Cairngorms and visit distilleries in Speyside and Pitlochry. Does anyone know if there any distilleries in that region that will be open that week besides Blair Athol? It seems like basically all of them aren't open that week. I am the most disappointed about Edradour and Glenfarclas being closed; I've already spent hours of research checking on other distilleries only to find out they're closed as well, even very famous ones, like Strathisla, Glenlivet, and Glenfiddich. Would you recommend we still go up there even though we can't do any distillery tours, or is there another region of Scotland you suggest we visit for a few days? We will have a car.

As for the Speyside and Cairngorms area in the winter, they are extremely beautiful! However, the winter weather could get bleak or quite snowy so it is imperative to drive safe.
