Looking to plan a trip to Scotland? Well, you're in the right place. You can save ideas from across our website to your trip list and add travel information. Then you can register or log into your account to save it, and even share it with all your family and friends.

  1. Click the heart icons to add content to the trip planner when you find something you like on the VisitScotland website.

  2. To access the trip planner click on the heart at the top of the page.

  3. You can now see your trip items on the map, find travel options and share your trip with friends.

How to use trip planner

  • Whenever you see the heart, you can click to save a page for your next trip.
  • Click on the trip planner heart in the top navigation to view your saved ideas pinned on a map, or listed.
  • Here you can also check journey options between places, whichever transport you prefer.
  • Planned the trip of a lifetime to Scotland? Don't lose your ideas - turn that trip into a reality by logging in or signing up for an account.
  • You can also share your trip with family and friends, refine and polish it, save it and, - this is the best bit - then do it for real! So what are you waiting for?
