Active senior couple looking to spend about 3-4 days in Edinburgh after a
week + in London this April. Prefer boutique hotels or quality BnBs in
"local" neighborhoods where we can walk to local places for dinner.
Assume we can walk, Uber/Taxi, or bus to touristy stuff during the day.
In addition, we think we should include a 1 day trip to Highlands.
Looking at neighborhoods, it seems Stockbridge, Dean Village,, or West
End appear to be our type. Does this seem correct and if so, can you
suggest smallish hotels. Budget around $200.

Thoughts, please, and THANKS!

And last but definitely not least, we are looking for it to be as inexpensive as possible, accepting all the sacrifices this might entail, of course. You can't have everything. Oh, and we would stay about three weeks, in July (my friend isn't the biggest fan of cold cilmates, but depending on what you tell me I might whisper it between coughs and move on to a different subject very quickly).

Oh, and if there are some festivals or cool events that you know of...
