Things to Do in Scotland This Halloween!

Halloween is an eventful time throughout Scotland, with many themed events and festivals taking place towards the end of October. Here's a few reasons as to why Scotland is a great place to be at Halloween time, how many have you tried?
Thought to be 'one of the most haunted locations within the British Isles' Glamis Castle will certainly not disappoint if you're looking to be scared! Take part in a ghost walk at the castle, or take part in one of the many Halloween themed activities the staff at the castle put on each year. Keep an eye on their website to keep up to date with this year's Halloween schedule.
The Banshee Labyrinth is, according to them, Scotland's most haunted pub. It's built into the old underground vaults of Edinburgh where many, many people sadly lost their lives. As well as all of the people who died in the vaults haunting the pub, it's also home to the'Banshee'. Those who have heard it have described it as a terrifying scream, it has been heard many times in the pub, especially during the refurbishment of it. As well as being haunted by the spirits that roam the bar, you can enjoy their very own cask ale "Howl at The Moon". Are you brave enough to "enjoy" a few pints here?

Attend a Murder Mystery Evening
These can be great fun for all the family! These real life Cluedo games encourage you to use your brain to solve a murder, crack it and you'll usually win a prize! I recently took part in one that spanned over an evening and the following morning when i visited Loch Lomond, it was great fun — even though we got the suspect completely wrong! There are various Halloween themed murder mystery nights taking place across Scotland this Halloween, why not try it?Visit The Haunted Glamis Castle

Find out about Edinburgh's dark history and how perceptions of witchcraft have changed through the centuries.
In 1828, the gruesome duo hatched a murder plot to sell cadavers to medical research in Edinburgh. They managed to murder 16 people before getting caught.
If you fancy finding out if anybody is indeed there, the special tour takes place 6th October - 4th November.
