Best Bars in Perth

Perth's bars and pubs have a mixture of the traditional and the contemporary, which should appeal to locals and visitors alike. We had a look to see what was on offer, and popped a few suggestions below.

The Bothy - This bar and restaurant serves up fresh, Scottish classics in a cosy setting, as well as offering a selection of wines, beers, whiskies and soft drinks. A nice spot if you're celebrating a special occasion.

The Glover Arms - Bringing a little rural charm to the city, the Glover Arms promises seasonal pub food and a selection of cask ales and wines. There's also a beer garden to enjoy during the summer months. 

The Tavern - Another city dwelling place that brings with it the quaint charm of a traditional pub, the Tavern specialises in a locally produced menu, and has a selection of wines, beers and spirits.

    Some good suggestions, I would add...

    >The Old Ship Inn- The oldest pub in Perth, cosy setting and popular with the locals

    >The Green Room- A well known live music and entertainment venue in Perth, boasting a selection of over 200 malts and whiskies, 50 gins, 50 rums, 30 vodkas and 14 tequilas and 80 bottled beers from around the world

    Another vote for the Ship Inn...it's a great rugby pub. I also like The Foundry for the quirky building it inhabits....yes it was a foundry and still retains some of the original fittings!

    My vote would be The Bothy...good food too .If weather is nice there's a few good food and drink spots in St Johns place in the city centre too.

    Shout out for The Venue, Perth's new Gin and cocktail bar.  Great service from the staff in the Gin bar and you can also sit outside on a nice day.  Kisa's next to Perth Concert Hall also has a great little bar and they do a fab selection of cocktails.
