Weekend trip to scottish castle
Hi everyone,
thx for having me in the group. I hope I can contribute myself and that you can help me with some ideas :-)
My brother marries this year and I want to give him a trip to Scotland (with us) as a marriage present. We will start from Hamburg and it should be a 3-4 days trip. To get an extra bit of romance mixed in the trip, I would like for us to stay in a castle :-)
Additionally we are all fans of wide landscapes and the coast.
Any Ideas where and if we can combine all that?
Thank you in advance and many regards,
Seb

All Castles in Scotland that offer accommodation https://www.visitscotland.com/accommodation/unusual-places-to-stay/stay-in-a-castle/ Oban and the Isle of Mull also fit the bill location wise although I dunno if castle stays are possible in those areas. Feel free to ask any follow up questions.
Best of Scotland in 1 week itinerary (fully by public transport)
My Scotland travels (includes Edinburgh, Skye, Harris, Mull, Arran, Orkney, Loch Lomond, Islay, Oban, Speyside)

thanks for the idea. It looks wonderful, castle as well as landscape. Unfortunately it is a little out of my budget :-(
But the link for the different castles really help.
Kind regards,
Seb

There's also an accommodation page on the VisitScotland website for Castles! https://www.visitscotland.com/accommodation/unusual-places-to-stay/stay-in-a-castle/
Hope this helps and happy planning!
Cheers
