68. The Scottish Government makes arrangements for the involvement of users and providers in all decision making on statistics matters through
(a) ScotStat, its network for users and providers, which includes:
- the ScotStat Board
- committees or groups on broad areas of statistics
- an opportunity for other groups to affiliate to ScotStat
- an opportunity for anybody to register their interest in particular statistics issues and receive appropriate correspondence
- networking opportunities
(b) a programme of conferences, seminars and meetings on statistics issues
(c) general consultation on key issues and more focused consultation on specific issues.
69. The Scottish Government will involve users outwith Scotland and users with an interest in statistics across the UK through
(a) maintaining the use of the internet for ScotStat purposes and for consultations
(b) liaising with the UK Government Statistical Users Forum
(c) making arrangements with other administrations for UK wide users views to be fed into decision making.
