Black Loch
Relax and unwind at Black Loch
A short surfaced path leads along the bank of the Black Loch. It’s a good spot for bird watching: there are often wildfowl on the loch. On days when there are no birds, it’s still a great place to blow the cobwebs away. The water is stocked with trout and fishing is managed by Black Loch Fishery.
The path is mostly wide, smooth surfaced and flat.

How to get here
From Falkirk, take the B803 to Slamannan, then follow the B8022 through Limerigg. Turn left on the B825, signposted to Avonbridge, and Black Loch is about 380 yards (340 metres) along the road on the right. The grid reference is NS 861 704. There is limited space to park in the forest entranceway.
