Birdwatch at Broadford

This quiet forest, just north of Broadford, has gentle views over Scalpay, Pabay and the Crowlin Islands. There are no waymarked trails but you can explore the forest roads and paths along the rocky shoreline. Linger with a picnic and enjoy the views over Camus na Sgianadin, a sheltered, shell-filled bay where many visiting and resident birds come to feed.

The forest's lack of light pollution makes it perfect for viewing the night sky. It’s one of nine locations on Skye selected for Dark Sky Skye.
