Pattack Falls
Waterfalls and history
A short walk will take you to pretty waterfalls, tumbling through a rocky gorge in the forest. They look particularly good after some wet weather! The other trail here leads through attractive forest to an abandoned township: a reminder of the days when many families lived in small homesteads in the glen.

The café and toilets at Laggan Wolftrax are open part-time during the season. There’s a small shop in Laggan village, about 4 miles (6.4 km) away, and a good range of places to eat in Newtonmore.

Fine views and attractive forest on a journey to a mysterious abandoned township. Please note part of this trail is closed due to windblown trees, follow all onsite signage.
Wide, firm forest roads with moderate slopes.

Pattack Falls Trail
A short hilly route, winding up the side of the river Pattack, with spectacular viewing platforms over the falls, tumbling into black pools.
A firm narrow path, with rocky and rooted sections. Uneven stone and wood steps and narrow bridges. Fairly steep throughout, with some short steep slopes.

How to get here
Pattack Falls are on the A86 between Newtonmore and Spean Bridge, about 10 ½ miles (17 km) miles west of Newtonmore and 22 miles (35.2 km) east of Spean Bridge. The car park is at grid reference NN 567 903.

At Laggan Wolftrax you’ll find mountain bike trails for riders from family groups to hardcore champs. For a taste of the mountains, try Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve, about 8 miles (12.8 km) further west.
