Take a walk in Tyndrum
Roads from Fort William and Oban meet the road from the Lowlands in Tyndrum, making it a popular spot for travellers to rest. The Forestry Commission has been working with local communities here and in nearby Crianlarich to plant trees and create new trails in the forest. There are fine walks in the hills from here too.

There is no parking specifically for the trail: you can park in one of the village car parks and walk to its start.

Cattle Creep Trail
A short loop along the River Fillan that takes a cattle creep beneath the railway to reach the site of an old leadmine.
Firm but uneven gravel surface, with some rocky and potentially muddy sections. Some short fairly steep slopes. Includes several shallow fords, a narrow bridge and some narrow kissing gates.

How to get here
From Glasgow, follow the A82 north along Loch Lomond to Tarbet. Take the A82 to Crianlarich, turn left and continue on the A82 until you come to the village of Tyndrum. Head through the village and pass the Green Welly Stop on your right. Just after you cross the river turn left and you’ll see the first waymarker post at the start of the trail. The trail leaves the public road at grid reference NN 327 306.
