EU & UK Traffic Information

European road operators and authorities teamed up with the European Commission in the EasyWay initiative to foster European harmonisation of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), delivering real results such as the DATEX II standards, Variable Message Signs (VMS) harmonisation recommendations and ITS Deployment Guidelines. Transport Scotland continues in this work through the European ITS Platform and Arc Antique corridor deployment projects.
