Mountain biking trip - luggage drop-off options
Friends of mine will come to Scotland for a mountain bike trip (September - 9 days). They were checking some sites and those kind of trips are most comfortable and enjoyable with a luggage drop-off from
destination to destination (so no heavy back pack on our back while biking)
My friend however says the organizations who
have such luggage drop off options are quite expensive. Can VS give some
advice perhaps? Or specific budget friendly options?
Thank you!

As the WHW is a fairly popular usecase for having a bag drop infrastructure, this is all I know. Another potential alternative is to pick up your preferred bikes from Edinburgh / Glasgow, reserve them on trains before hand (relevant ScotRail page), check in to accommodation / campsite close to mountain biking trails (trains to Aviemore for the Cairngorms, Galashiels close to Peebles and Dumfries close to Forest of Ae). Here's the 7Stanes page and Cairngorms mountain biking page I referred to when suggesting this alternative for more details.
Hope this helps.
