Skye for 3 days

We will be on the isle of Skye for 3 full days.  We will arrive the night before our first day, so we truly have 3 full days there.

We are also early risers, we often see sunrise from our vehicle.  (Our joke is if you want to sleep on vacation, just stay home).

We are seeking your opinion about our agenda for each day on Skye.  Can we get it all done?  If not, what would you recommend we eliminate?

Day 1

    Day 1 has too much in it compared to the other days, I'd distribute it better. Talisker distillery is close to Dunvegan castle so should definitely be Day 2. Infact I would start Day 2 with Sligachan / The Cuilins followed by Fairy Pools and then drive towards Carbost. I've heard that Loch Corsuik has some incredible views and walks (I hope to see it this year) and you should take your time in that area. Similarly, take your own sweet time walking around Quiraing.

    Dear Horizons, thanks for the input!  We live in an area where 30 miles can be covered in 30 minutes, so it's hard to think in slower terms.  So we'll take your advice and move Talisker.  In fact, we're spending a day in Pitlochry.  So we may substitute Edradour for Talisker and do a distillery tour on a completely different day.

    @FaithfulPastor Am guessing you're American, imagine the opposite of the Interstate where a cow may block the single track roads (driving guidelines), that is what rural Skye looks like. Moreover, each of these destinations need to be savoured.

    The taste profile of Edradour is very different from Talisker, that being said, the Ballechin range by Edradour tastes similarly peaty to the Talisker so you should be good there. Also Edradour is my favourite distillery to visit in Scotland as described here so you are on the right track.

    Final insider tip: If you or your group like eating Oysters / shellfish, seek out the Oyster shed on Skye, they have incredible products in a basic shed-like ambience. A culinary experience to try. Plus there are fancy places on the island as well like the Three Chimneys.

    Horizons, you're correct, we're Americans making our second visit to Scotland. The hardest part is balancing the number of sites to see versus the time you get to spend at each stop along the way.  Our visit is 10 days with 3 dedicated to Skye.
