Glengoyne Distillery from Drymen?
We're planning a day trip to Loch Lomond from Glasgow on public transport to do some hiking in the Balmaha area.
In as much as the 309 bus stops in Drymen, we are wondering if it's possible to easily travel from Drymen to visit the Glengoyne Distillery?
Or if it would even be worth the time it would take? Considering that every Scotch Whiskey tour I've read about seems to include a stop at Glengoyne
Would it be too crowded and overly touristy, or worth the trip?
Also, is there any regular transportation that would take us from Drymen to the distillery and back?
Thanks
Rob

As you will be also travelling to Balloch, Auchentoshan Distillery is on route and they offer tours daily at 10am, 12pm, 1pm and 3pm. If you travel by train, the closest train station to the distillery would be at Kilpatrick, followed by a 20 minute walk.
I'm sure whichever distillery you visit you will enjoy the tour....they are both excellent!!
