Camping with my wife, my dog and my wheelchair

Hi all, I'm coming up next week in my campervan and stopping at Bruce's Cave Caravan and Camping park near Lockerbie and then going up to Dingwall, but instead of going M80 I want to go up through the Trossachs onto Fort William and up along Loch Ness I know it's an hour longer but what are you feelings (am I doing the right thing?).
