When do the trees leaf out in the spring?
I'd like to know when the trees and shrubs leaf out in the spring. We want to time our trip so that the trees aren't bare and the shrubs are starting to bloom. I'm sure that different parts of the country will vary to a degree. Thanks.

In the countryside where we have lots of evergreen trees growing as crops, on a blue sky day it can look like summer even in the dead of winter. I love that, as it gives the illusion of summer even when it's not.
