What’s better than enjoying some delicious local Scottish food?
Enjoying it with a breathtaking view of course! There are dozens to pick from,
but here are some to get us started:
Badachro Inn – Situated on Loch Gairloch, with views across the bay to Isle
Horrisdale, this is a restaurant not to miss if you’re in the area!
Fourth Floor Restaurant, Harvey Nichols Edinburgh – best enjoyed with a cocktail in hand, the Fourth Floor restaurant at Harvey Nichols offers views across the Edinburgh rooftops. Arrive in time for sunset and ask for a window seat. You won’t be disappointed!
The Seafood Restaurant, St Andrews – features floor to ceiling windows making the most of the panoramic views of the water.

Sunset view from the fourth floor of Harvey Nichols, Edinburgh
Have you tried any of these, or do you have any favourite restaurant views?

There's also the unasumming but excellent Alt Inn in Assynt. This was the view outside as the sun set after dinner during our stay. The iconic moutains of Assynt looked fantastic silhouetted against that dramatic sunset. The food was great. Just simple, honest home cooking.
