FIRST TIME FOR GROUP OF 6 OVER 60!

Hello! I'm planning a trip to the British Isles for mine and my husband's 45th anniversary (which is Dec 2019) in August 2020. The original plan was a cruise, but I think I'd rather concentrate solely on Scotland!
I looked at the "14 Day Ultimate Scotland Itinerary" and it covers everywhere I've dreamed of seeing. Not sure how to inquire about a booking, the transportation, or accommodations, etc.
Where is a good "hub" to take day trips from? Or 2 - 3 hubs, so not packing and unpacking so much.
Thanks for assisting!
Bo

Hey @Bobo51157, glad you're thinking of coming!  This is quite an extensive itinerary, will you be hiring a car when you're over here?  Also, what from the itinerary would you most like to see?

@VisitScotlandLiam, absolute must sees are: Edinburgh (with maybe day trips to Linlithgow, Falkirk, Stirling?), Glasgow, Glenfinnan (would love to ride the Jacobite steam train!), Inverness, and Aberdeen.
We're planning on 12-14 days. Car rental and/or tours. B&B's or mid-level hotels. What else???

Hey @Bobo51157, I reckon you could have your bases in Edinburgh, Glasgow/Fort William and Aberdeen.  Whether you hire a car or use tours or trains, Scotland is an easy enough country to get around.  If you've any public transport questions, ask our expert @Horizons.
