can anyone suggest any family friendly inexpensive places to eat around Dundee / Perth area ?

family not adventurous so no indian / mexican type foods please.

In Dundee, you could try Butterfly Café for lunch. Also the Riverside Inn which even has a play area if you have young kids.
I have done a quick search on VisitScotland website for places to eat in Perth. You can refine it by searching for specific child facilities or change the destination. I hope this helps.
