We will be visiting Skye in early May. I've read that public transport is iffy. Any recommendations? I wondered about renting a car, but was intimidated by what I read about driving there, especially since we drive on the other side! We will be staying in Portree. Thanks for your help!

The roads are not as bad as I expected them to be. The only roads that are poor are the road to the Fairypools. and anything on the otherside of Dunvegan. Otherwise they are normal roads.
